Job Title: Part-Time YMCA BAP Leader
Location: Multiple Locations across the SSRCE
Role: 

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Plan and implement activities that promote physical, mental, and social development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Observe and monitor children’s play activities.
  • Provide guidance to children on appropriate behaviour.
  • Provide age-appropriate education and activities.

Part-Time Position:
approx. 4 hrs/day, Mon-Fri

Position: Y Home Delivery Drivers
Location: Lunenburg County YMCA
Role: Help us bring a grocery delivery service to our residents of Lunenburg County. Y Home Delivery is a free delivery service for seniors, 55+, with mobility issues and vulnerable adults.

Position: YMCA Southwest Nova Scotia Board of Director
Role: The YMCA of SWNS is governed by the Board of Directors. As a volunteer, you would guide the Board’s strategy and proper governance of the YMCA. Child Safeguarding Information

For Child Safeguarding, everyone entering our YMCA must scan their membership card at the welcome desk, or sign in with our welcome desk team with a Government-issued photo ID.

Sign-in/out policy:

  • At the beginning of the program, participants must check in with an adult (16 yrs+).
  • At the end of the program, participants must checked out by the same adult.

Admission Policy

  • 11 years and up can access the facility without adult supervision.
  • 5 – 10 years can access the NSCC gymnasium with an adult/guardian present at all times (adult/guardian must be at least 16 years of age).
  • 11 years and up can access the cardio and strength conditioning levels without adult supervision
  • 6 months – 10 years can access the Clubhouse for the Child Mind program.
